REACH Students Enjoy a Creative Visit to The Box in Plymouth
Our REACH students had a fantastic day out visiting The Box in Plymouth, as part of their ongoing learning about different types of art and creative expression. They have been learning about 5 different artists and their different styles.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity for our students to explore art, photography, film and history, discovering new things and bringing their classroom learning to life.
There was plenty to see and do, and one of the highlights was getting the chance to step into the world of television! The students had great fun becoming BBC newsreaders in front of the green screen, reading the news and watching themselves appear on television afterwards. There were plenty of smiles and some brilliant newsreader performances!
The Box is Plymouth’s award-winning museum, art gallery and archive, bringing together fascinating collections of artwork, photography, film and local history. With interactive displays and opportunities to explore different forms of creativity, it offered plenty for our REACH students to discover.
The visit gave everyone the chance to experience art in different ways, try something new and enjoy learning outside the classroom.
@thePark, we believe in providing opportunities for people to develop new skills, explore their interests and enjoy experiences within the wider community.
We really enjoyed our visit to The Box in Plymouth and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped make it such an enjoyable day. It was lovely to see our REACH students getting involved, having fun and making the most of everything on offer!
