The Hydrotherapy Pool is a unique environment for individuals who require supported therapeutic programmes, for example hydro-physiotherapy, rehabilitation exercise and injury treatment.

The benefits of hydrotherapy are its healing and recuperative properties due to its thermal and mechanical effects.  It can help with lessening pain sensitivity, improving blood flow and circulation.

Hydrotherapy can be used to treat muscle weakness, balance disorders, musculo-skeletal injuries, soft-tissue injuries and other conditions that impair circulation.

Our hydrotherapy pool is fully accessible, either by steps, or by a hoist and sling.

There are two separate curtained poolside changing areas, with shower beds, plus a disabled toilet and shower room.

The pool is 4m x 4.5m and is 1.2m deep.

The temperature of the pool is 34°C, with an air temperature of around 28°C, so both the water and the air feel pleasantly warm.

The pool is permanently staffed by operators who are fully trained in the safe operation of the pool and have the Royal Life Saving Society Award in Aquatic Therapy Pool Rescue.
